Unesa Develops KECE Robot to Serve Covid-19 Patients
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- The State University of Surabaya (Unesa) developed the 2nd Generation KECE (Creative, Energetic, Capable, and Elegant) Robot designed to serve Covid-19 patients. The KECE G2 robot is a development of the previous generation given to the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa, to serve Covid-19 patients at the Emergency Hospital.
Unesa Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan explained, this second generation robot has the function of delivering medical equipment, food, and sterilizing rooms for Covid-19 patients. The difference from the first generation robot, because this robot is equipped with sensors that can detect the body temperature and heart rate of Covid-19 patients, and is equipped with music for patient therapy.
"In addition, it is also equipped with a tool that can measure oxygen levels in the blood and heart rate of Covid-19 patients.
Nurhasan said that his party was still preparing the Generation 3 KECE Robot that could enter the rooms of Covid-19 patients according to the instructions given. In addition to launching the KECE G2 Robot, Unesa also launched the KECE Drone. This KECE drone can spray disinfectant which is considered very useful during a pandemic like today.
"The KECE drone has a capacity of 16 liters and can cover an area of 1 hectare," he said.
There are also several other superior product innovations. Among them are the KECE Body Temp Check Generation 1 products. The results of this body temperature checking door can be seen immediately. In addition, there is also a prototype of the KECE Electric Motor with advanced specifications. In addition to the KECE Electric Motor prototype, there is also the KECE Electric Car prototype which can go at a speed of 65 kilometers/hour and can last for 10 hours.
